My baby sister is finally here. She's already following the rules and was born on her due date. The doctor said that doesn't happen very often but we already knew she was going to be a good girl. Mommy said when you are the third baby, you have to be good.

The birth story...

I guess a lot of people ask about the 'birth story' so here it goes. Mommy started having contractions around 4:30 p.m. She called daddy and told him to come home from work since it takes him an hour to get home. When he got home mommy's contractions were two minutes apart so they decided to have grandma come over to stay with us while they went to the hospital. They got to the hospital around 7 p.m. (after stopping at Wendy's to get a bite to eat...silly parents) and Tenley was born at 9:37 p.m. When mommy got to the hospital she was 6 cm dialated so labor didn't take long at all.

Britton's 2-year Check-up

Britton had his 2-year doctor check-up today and the doctor said he's doing great. He was very chatty with the doctor. Sometimes he's shy around new people or people he hasn't seen for awhile but not with the doctor today. Mommy said it's proably because his doctor is pretty. He had to get one shot and he only cried for a second. I was going to sing him a song to make him feel better but I didn't even have a chance to. He's getting very big...

Weight: 32 lbs (90th percentile)
Height: 35 1/4 (75th percentile)

Happy Easter

Happy Easter. Even after our Urgent Care trip on Friday night (see post on April 6th), that didn't stop us from having a great Easter. We colored eggs and the Easter Bunny came and left Britton and I an Easter basket and hid eggs outside. We had a lot of fun.

Tooth Fairy...so soon?

Warning: the below description and picture may not be suitable for all ages.

I am going to get an early visit from the Tooth Fairy. Why you ask? Because I was playing outside, swinging like a monkey on some chairs and sadly fell, hit the concrete and two of my teeth came out. Mommy and daddy have been telling me not to swing on those chairs...now I know why.

One tooth on the top in the front and the one next to it. After daddy cleaned out my mouth with lots of water (there was a lot of blood), mommy took me to the Urgent Care doctor. They got me right in....I felt like a princess. The doctor looked at my lip and my mouth and said I was very lucky. No broken bones and I did not need stitches. Those two teeth came out right by the root...they didn't even break. They gave me six stickers for being so brave.

I also went to the dentist so he could take an x-ray and make sure my adult teeth were ok. He also said I was very lucky because nothing was damaged, just missing a couple teeth now. Since they are baby teeth, they just wait for my new teeth to come in.

I was very brave. I only cried when I was in the bathroom with daddy because there was a lot of blood. I didn't cry at the doctor or the dentist. Everyone was so surprised I didn't cry but I'm one tough cookie.

Lesson learned...always listen to mommy and daddy when they tell you not to do things because you can get hurt.

Happy 4th Birthday to me

I'm four years old...can you believe it? I had the best birthday EVER. Here was how I spent my birthday...

• Preschool in the late morning...everyone in my class sang to me, then we had yummy chocolate cake pops.
• Mommy and Britton picked me up and we went to McDonalds for lunch. Grammie even surprised me there and after we ate we played.
• Went home and took a little nap, then daddy surprised me and came home early from work.
• Then daddy, mommy and Britton took me to the Build a Bear Workshop and I made a monkey. She has a real heartbeat and I named her Monkey. I love Monkey.
• We went to dinner at Paradise Bakery since mac and cheese is my favorite.
• Then grandma came and had dessert with us at Frost (the yummiest Gelato place in town).

It was a VERY busy day and the best birthday so far. Thanks everyone for making me feel so special.

Hiking

Daddy and I went hiking on 'A' Mountain. It's called 'A' Mountain because there is a GIANT letter 'A' on it and because it's close to AZ State University. We parked and rode on the light rail train to get there. We had so much fun.

Weddings = Family picture time...

Time for dress-up. Not for me but mommy and daddy. Their good friend Sarah got married so they dusted off their dress clothes and put them on. Since they were all dressed up, we tried to get a family photo. It kinda worked...

New addition...BEFORE the new addition

With baby Tutu Leaf Sally Apple Banana Polka Dot (all names I've picked out for my baby sister) coming soon we had to get a bigger car. So we are now officially a minivan family. Mommy and daddy went to a place that has a lot of cars to choose from and decided on this one. It is really cool. It even has 'magic' doors that open all by themselves. I wanted them to get a blue one since that's my favorite color but they picked out a dark grey one. Oh, well maybe next time.

Happy 2nd Birthday Britton

It seems like just yesterday that mommy and daddy brought home a cute little baby brother for me and now he is two years old. Wow, how time flies. We had a lot of fun for his birthday. We actually celebrated for a couple days.

He woke up on his birthday to a bunch of balloons in his room. He was really surprised. That night we went to dinner at Red Robin. It was really yummy and they gave Britton an ice cream sundae (that I helped him eat).

Then a few days later we had a party for him. I helped mommy make his cake...chocolate of course. It also had yummy gooey carmel inside. He got new toys, cars, clothes, books and his very own blue tricycle. Now he doesn't have to ride my pink tricycle. A big thank you to everyone who spoiled my little brother.

BIg Boy Bed

Britton got a new big boy bed. No more crib for him. Mommy said he sleeps better in his big boy bed than he did in his crib. He was very excited to get a new bed. I was excited too. I keep wanting to sleep in his room with him but mommy and daddy said no. For some reason they think we will play instead of sleep.
